Bug Description
bugs in ubuntu/univserse are fixed by an upload of some motu to ubuntu. It would be great if there was some facility/script, that parses the changelogs searching for commands which indicate, that a specific bug was fixed.
This feature is already available in debian. Over there, I simply put a "(Closes: #12345)", and when the upload gets accepted, the bug is closed in bts automatically.
I don't think that this would have to be implemented in the ubuntu archive scripts. All uploads including their changes are posted to a mailing list: http://

I see a lot of bugs closed with the last message having a copy of the last changelog. Do maintainers do that by hand or is code implemented to fix this bug?
