Thinklight doesn't blink because /proc/acpi/ibm/thinklight has wrong permissions

Symptom: The thinklight plugin is not able to let the thinklight blink. It gives an error message that the file /proc/acpi/
Reason: Upstream does not install with SUID bit enabled.
Solution: The build system has to be patched, so that cmake installs kopete_
Development version: Already fixed in karmic with the same patch as being proposed here.

Insignificant. The patch only touches the kopete-

I executed the following command to fix it :
$ sudo chmod 4755 /usr/bin/ kopete_ thinklight_ fixpermissions
The permissions are now : -rwsr-xr-x
How can we submit this change upstream ?
