how do we test ?? I do an aptitude update && aptitude install apache2-mpm-itk and I still get the option to downgrade apache2.2.

After some looking I enabled hardy-proposed now I'm getting :

apache2-mpm-itk: Dépend: apache2.2-common (= 2.2.8-1) but 2.2.8-1ubuntu0.3 is to be installed.

This looks like you have hardy-proposed only enabled for "main". Please check that you have hardy-proposed enabled for "main" and "universe".

HARDY VERIFICATION (AMD64):

apache2-mpm-itk 2.2.6-01-1build3 installs again with apache2.2-common 2.2.8-1ubuntu0.3.

Package installs correctly with hardy.
Please, move to -updates together with apache2 from bug #219914 when ready.

Anyway, this needs fixing in Intrepid too.

This bug was fixed in the package apache2-mpm-itk - 2.2.6-01-3.1build1

Enabled hardy-updates for universe and it works perfectly.
