Can't easily link a project and its PPA

Bug Description

When you provide a PPA of installable releases of a project, it's not easy to link the project to the PPA and vice versa. For example:
<https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-translator-tools>
<https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-translator-tools-hackers/+archive>

The nearest equivalent seems to be to include the URL of the PPA in the project description, and the URL or the project in the PPA description. Perhaps there should be an easier way.

This looks to be a dup with bug 205637

I think the two bugs are similar but not the same. This bug is about associating a PPA with a project while bug 205637 is about associating a project with a PPA or more specifically linking a release with a PPA package.

The story was:
As a project owner,
I want to mark a PPA as the official repo,
so that users can easily get the official packages.

This has been deferred because we want to allow multiple PPAs (releases, nightly, beta, etc) to be linked to any given project

This bug should really be fixed.
Currently its really hard for users to find the offical PPA of a project if there is one.

I think this is an important usability issue, making Launchpad not attractive for small projects.

This bug is still a problem today... Even with my experience I usually go to Google to find a PPA of a project hosted on Launchpad and sometimes there are several and I have no idea which one the 'official' one is. This sucks...
