Bug Description

ISO Testing, Desktop Install on an Dell Inspiron 6400 Laptop, following Desktop instructions in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Cases/OEMInstall

Using ISO image: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20080903/intrepid-desktop-amd64.iso

Cannot see oem-config-prepare icon on the desktop. Desktop image attached.

If you still have it, could you attach /var/log/installer/syslog please?

Oh, OK, this seems to be breakage when it can't talk to the network. Not again!

apt-setup (1:0.37ubuntu4) intrepid; urgency=low

  * Fix sense of OVERRIDE_BASE_INSTALLABLE test in cdrom generator
    (LP: #264337).
  * If OVERRIDE_LEAVE_CD_MOUNTED is set, don't unmount /cdrom; this is a bad
    idea in a live CD environment!
