Bug Description

Binary package hint: scim

On Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex (but it's the same since Edgy Eft) :
The French translation for "Hindi" is wrong. It is written "hindou" (hindu) instead of "hindi". A religion is not a language.

I don't want to be the only one to take care of it. If nobody cares about spelling, it's a shame.

I asked on the SCIM mailing list to change it. It will be fixed soon. Great.

You shouldn't assign to yourself and then complain that nobody else steps up to fix it. Same thing for "in progress"

scim has nothing to do with translation. Are you sure you have the right package? Is there an upstream bug or where did you discuss this fix?

Thank you for not helping. I said "in progress" because SCIM developers said that they will fix it.
I have the right package right from synaptic in Jaunty.
If you want to put it knew, right. I don't know where it can be fixed because the translator is not available and nowhere else we can ask to change the translation.

I will not make any effort to explain or help, since I did it for two years without success. I will also leave Launchpad as nobody seems to care about good writing or even speak French (I don't think it's you case).

Or maybe you just didn't understand. Too sad.

Bye and leave happy with you're ignorance. You could have help us on that problem (which you didn't and will not) but you just reproach me I don't know what.

Damn, I can't change my previous message. I'm really sorry if I hurt you. I will not do it again, promise. I was a bit upset because I said in #3 : I asked on the SCIM mailing list to change it. It will be fixed soon. Great.

The change is confirmed in the sources in development of SCIM. It means that it's not only in progress but will be sooner (I hope) or later, visible in Ubuntu.
I keep an eye on that but don't want to be responsible for anything from now on.

you never were responsible for anything. And with the temper issues that you obviously have, I'm glad that's the way it is. I still can't confirm the problem you are describing here. Please include a link to the public discussion you mentioned. If I can't verify this problem and it's current status, this ticket will have to be closed as invalid.

I have switched to Ibus where there's no such problem. I can't confirm it too, so you can close it.

Temper issues ? You want to fight ?

Dude, your English is terrible when you rant. It took me years to understand what you are referring to. And of course it doesn't help when you don't answer questions but keep on ranting. This whole experience could have been so much easier...
