Bug Description

Binary package hint: checkbox

hwtest-gtk.postrm tries to source hwtest.postrm, but if it's no longer available dpkg fails to remove hwtest-gtk.

The problem is that the same postrm script should be run for hwtest, hwtest-gtk, hwtest-cli, etc. So, instead of duplicating the same code, the original shorthand was to source the script from the hwtest package. However, the proper solution would be for the build process to copy the postrm script so that each package doesn't depend on the maintainer scripts of hwtest and the script only gets committed once upstream.

where can I find this fix, because when running jaunty with the latest updates and the proposed repository enabled this still happens. See attached screenshot.

This got fixed in jaunty in the checkbox 0.5 package upload, but the changelog neglected to include the bug reference, so the janitor didn't close the jaunty task. Closing.
