Bug Description

Xinerama won't work in Jaunty.

I'm running the proprietary fglrx ATI driver with Radeon HD 3200 on a HP Pavilion tx2510us.

I got the two screens to work with X.org, but when I try to activate Xinerama and reboot, X.org goes green and red (a bunch of dots on the screen).

I can disable Xinerama using the recover mode (# aticonfig --xinerama=off) and reboot. It works, but again all I get are the 2 screen, no integration (I can't, for instance, drag a window between screens).

I'd like to confirm the issue as well. Running Jaunty with fglrx 9.4, and after rebooting with Xinerama enabled X will either go black and restart, or the screen fills with garbage and hard locks.

I've posted a new version of the -fglrx driver to our xorg-edgers PPA,
would you mind testing it either on Jaunty or Karmic and see if it
resolves this bug?

Get fglrx 8.620 here:
