Sync gcompris 8.4.12-1 (main) from Debian testing (main).

This is related to bug 371603

You didn't explain what the Ubuntu changes were and why they can be dropped, are you sure this is a sync and not a merge? Also, libgnet-dev is in Universe so a sync right now would cause gcompris to FTBFS. It is helpful to test build packages from Main in a Main-only chroot or run rmadison on any new deps to make sure that there is no component mismatches.

A sync would be wrong; if nothing else the sqlite changes remain. I'm going to merge this.

By the way, the advice at the top of https://merges.ubuntu.com/main.html is to contact the previous uploader (me, in this case) before doing any merge work, to avoid duplicate work. Please remember this in future - it will save everybody time and energy.
