Amarok icon does not appear in gnome notification area

Bug Description

The last time I updated amarok with apt-get dist-upgrade in dapper amarok stopped showing in the notification area in gnome.

I'm seeing the same thing after an upgrade from Breezy to Dapper.

From the console if I start amarok I get:

amaroK: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
amaroK: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.
kbuildsycoca running...
QLayout: Adding KToolBar/mainToolBar (child of QVBox/unnamed) to layout for PlaylistWindow/PlaylistWindow
QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap

And then with ps -ef | grep amarok I get:

When I have this problem if I run amarok again it shows up. I found
that if I run kdeinit just before executing amarok it works ok.
