Bug Description

SRU justification:

GUI to pspp (/usr/bin/psppire) is essentially un-usable in Karmic. Attempting to add any input into a cell results in this crash.

Status in Lucid:

This bug has been fixed in Lucid by uploading the new upstream release (0.6.2-0ubuntu1) resolving this issue.

Proposed SRU to Karmic:

A minimal patch resolving this issue only can be found in this upstream git commit:

http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/pspp.git/commit/?h=stable&id=f5d9f9911bd04682a7edfb48521a12202e561e0a

A debdiff is attached to this bug.

Regression potential:

As the program is essentially un-usable in its current state, there is no real regression potential for this SRU.

Hi,

I really don't know how to rectify this bug. It is very annoying...
Considering the fact that so many people got this bug with PSPP with Karmic,
I guess developers will find a solution soon.

The best we can do is to wait for an update.
