Bug Description

Binary package hint: indicator-sound

now that keyboard left right keys incr/decr volume it is no longer possible to move from this indicator to another using keyboard keys.
and this movement was one of the reason that indicators were introduced in the first place.

Okay this is a known limitation of the IDO lib used in this indicator. I tried some work-arounds last Friday morning but to no avail. IDO will be updated with enhanced key listening abilities very shortly which will in turn resolve this for the inidicator-sound.

yes, when right/left arrows are used it does not go to other applications. only volume is changed even if the focus is on 'mute all' or 'sound preference'

This bug was fixed in the package indicator-sound - 0.1.2-0ubuntu1

indicator-sound (0.1.2-0ubuntu1) lucid; urgency=low

  * New upstream version:
    - Stability of the service should now be much improved. The backend sound
      service should now be able to handle Pulseaudio not being up or flapping.
      (lp: #529324)
    - Arrow keys should be working properly allowing users to move between
      indicators. (lp: #525733)
