Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-center

Install button is disabled when authentication is canceled.

Step to repro:
Select a package and click information button
View informations and there is "install"
Click "install" and show authentication window
Click "cancel"

Then, install button keep disabled.

Could this be a side-effect of bug 435095? I.e. aptdaemon doesn't report its error condition promptly, so USC doesn't know to re-enable the Install actions.

I attached screenshots.

I wait 10 minutes, but no error dialog appeared, and keep "install" button disabled.
I think this bug is not side-effect of #435095.

It appear that aptdaemon is not forwarding the exception to the client.

Thanks Sebastian! I uploaded a new aptdaemon now. I close the software-center task, when it gets the unauthorized error it does the right thing and just enables the button again.
