Binary package hint: empathy

Using MSN, no contacts are displayed in contact list, contacts are only able to initiate a chat with you.

hello im running empathy on lucid 64 and only see as connected one or two contacts (msn account) there are ten contacts connected.

they might be hidden in a custom group that may be minimized

I can confirm that I am also experiencing the issue, both on my 32bit PC and on my netbook running NBR.

telepathy_butterfly version is 0.5.10-1

No, they are not hidden. Just appear as offline when, in fact, they are online.

I am experiencing this issue.
It happens just with msn contacts. I'm using Empathy 2.30.1 unstable.
After an update on 25th or 26th of May the contacts are shown as permanently offline.
Butterfly error log attached.

norbs, which version of ubuntu are you using? and also if you are not using ubuntu 10.04 can you tell the version of python-papyon with apt-cache policy python-papyon

just to mention this bug was introduced in papyon 0.4.7 which is not part of lucid. 0.4.8 will be in maverick

I'm using the proposed package for a while and did not noticed any regression so far, i cannot reproduce the original bug but i can confirm that it doesn't cause any regression. msn still works fine here.
