Bug Description
I wanted to link Bug #67773 to Debian bug 394392, and so I went to:
https:/
When I filled in the relevant information, I was told that "linux-2.6" is an invalid value. I created the task with the package name blank, but am filing this bug at the request of BjornT:
<BjornT> jbailey: i guess linux-2.6 doesn't exist in Ubuntu? in that case we probably need to import that from Debian somehow. could you please file a bug about it?
In general, it would be nice if it said something other than "Invalid Value" - perhaps something like "I don't have that package listed as existing in Debian", or something like that would make it more clear that the bug was in Launchpad. My first assumption had been that perhaps the box couldn't cope with a . or a - in the package name.
It may save time to fix this bug at the same time as bug 196320.

I don't think this is a duplicate of bug 1922. linux-2.6 is a valid
package name in Debian, so it does exist.
