Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Not sure if it's due to Nux or Unity itself (discussed that with Jay before unity latest release: 3.2.12). Just to log and track the known bug about back screen during a worspace switch is began.

We have that as well with the workspace preview in the wall plugin.

Definitively reproducible with nvidia and confirmed by the unity team itself during the rally.

I can't reproduce that with the latest unity and natty update today. I run on an old ATI (R300).

Further to the bug description, Didier really confirmed that the issue is reproducible only when the unity plugin is activated, ie it doesn't happen with just compiz and the regular workspace switcher plugin.

Lowering the priority a bit, as it's not a crasher / major impact on the shell. Yet, it's a regression.

I cannot reproduce this with the latest compiz and unity in natty as of today. I'm using an intel chip (GM965). Perhaps this is an nvidia specific issue?

seems unity is conflicting with the lightning opengl effect of compiz on some cards. After discussing with jason and sam, better to disable it as the effect isn't really used.

@Jay: you should deactivate the lightning effect conflicting with unity. You can unity --reset to reset to the new default settings.

Didier, did you mean to say "lighting" rather than "lightning"? If not, how does one change the "lightning" effect? I can't seem to find it. If lighting, what should be altered there?

Thanks.
