Bug Description

Binary package hint: mail-notification

With the exception of a few minor quirks (icon sometimes disapears)
I have had no problems with Mail-Notification. Now, the popup window will not come up when there is no new mail.

I made sure Mail summary Popup was selected and it simply does not work.

I'm not entirely sure when it stopped working, I eventually noticed the popup does not show anymore. So, I don't know if my update to 3.5.5 a while ago was the problem, or if it was something else.

Using Mail-Notification 2.0 with Kubuntu 6.06 Dapper with KDE 3.5.3.

Mail-notification mail popup will not show popups in Kubuntu 7.06 as well. Mail-notification seems to be working as it starts when clicked on and show the options screen. It also haves the mail symbol on the system tray and will show the mail in a bubble when the mouse pointer is floating over.

I made sure to have "Enable message popups" clicked, and it still does not work. I also get no popup when clickong on the "Test messages" box at the bottom. I have tried every combonation on the message popups screen.

In the console I typed "mail-notification -p" and recieved the following:

scott@Kubuntu:~$ mail-notification -p

Installing notification-daemon fixes this problem. So the root cause appears to be a missing Depend.
