Bug Description

On Oneiric and probably prior to this, I've noticed something a bit alarming. IF I close the lid and the system suspends, on opening the lid, there is a brief window where I can actually do things on the system before the screen locks, requiring a password.

THe basic flow is like this:

Close lid and wait for system to suspend.
Open lid
type stuff on an open terminal
Screensaver finally locks the screen

It may be brief, but this is a definite security risk. The screen should be locking BEFORE the system suspends on a lid close event. When you select suspend from the power menu, this is exactly what happens and is exactly what should happen when the lid is closed.

not sure if that's g-s-d or gnome-screensaver (gpm has been deprecated in Oneiric) but I can confirm that, Chris could you have a look?

This issue also exists in G-S-D on Natty 11.04. Could you please nominate the Natty release series? Any chance this git fix will be backported?

Will be fixed in oneiric through new g-s-d upstream release, but this isn't a blocker for beta-1. Moving.
