Bug Description

d-i relies on having access to efivars when installing in EFI mode. linux 3.0.0-9.12 modularised efivars (it was previously built-in), but failed to create a corresponding efi-modules udeb so that d-i could have access to it. As a result, d-i will not recognise that it's installing in EFI mode and will do inappropriate things, such as failing to create the appropriate partition structure.

There are no applicable log files; my bug description should be sufficient. I expect to be sending a patch shortly.

We've reverted the config change which modularizes efivars and have added CONFIG_EFI_VARS=y to our config enforcer to make sure it remains built-in.
