Bug Description

Binary package hint: apport

One of the challenges the mozillateam is facing when running -retrace is that by the time we run retraces a new version of the necessary packages has often been build. Currently, whenever a new package is build old -dbgsym files are replaces.

We are unable to retrace without having -dbgsym files matching the version that the reporter had installed at the time of the issue report.

Having a LP service that runs -retace immediatly upon receipt should reduce this problem.

In the meantime I would like to propose that we store historical -dbgsym files for some period of time.

That will make our job easier. hate to think of the size of the files.

This means that ddebs are now kept for two weeks. I can now trivially change the time if you guys need it, just give me a ping.
