Bug Description
Hi Freinds,
I would like to inform you people that while installing Ubuntu 6.06 from installation CD, I mistakenly forgot to Plug in Power chord of my Sata HardDrive.
However, the Sytem Booted using the Installer CD and when I clicked on the install Icon, the installation process started. But the same hanged where the Disk partitioning section was to be loaded. The installer was unable to show the partitioner option as there was no Hard Drives (Although the drive data cable was plugged, but power cable was'nt). On this the installer process went on showing the progress circle swirling on, but was unable to notify me that there were no active Hard Drives attached/powered to the system.
I think it would be better that if Hardware detection mechanism, searches for available active Hard Disks and notifies the same to the user, before actually installation process gets started.
Regards...
Vikas.
