[apport] scim-launcher crashed with SIGSEGV in _Unwind_DeleteException()

This bug have a lot of duplicates. What is the desktop environment you guys are using? Is there anyone who is _not_ using KDE but also sees this bug?

After upgrading to Gutsy Beta my SCIM doesn't work anymore, Using Gnome and having scim-gtk2-immodule package installed.

If you are using GNOME on gutsy, have scim-gtk2-immodule installed, and using im-switch to set the input method (and if it's a fresh install of gutsy, it will be using im-switch), would you please try the "im-switch -s scim" command and see if it avoids the crash?

(There may be problems of frozen input in nautilus and other programs after you change the im-switch setting, though. Please see bug #66104 for the details and workarounds of this frozen input problem.)

dino99, please don't spam every crasher bug if you aren't sure that you are indeed seeing the same issue. If in doubt, open your own ticket.

Everyone, thank you for reporting. I think this may be fixed in 1.4.9 which is about to be released in Karmic. Please verify.

bug 397583 was filed against karmic, so it seems this is still an issue. FWIW, I don't see this problem. Can those affected please report if a virgin account (one that has never been used before) shows the same symptoms?

Still looking for confirmation or disconfirmation from one who is affected by this bug whether a new account also has this issue.
