manpage says the user should be in the ecryptfs group, which is nonexistant

Bug Description

ecryptfs-mount-private(1) claims so, which is apparently wrong since this seems to work fine on a hand-installed oneiric (but not on a preseeded one, see bug 882202), and there is no such group.
