On a fresh install of kdenlive the configuration wizard will fail with MLT's SDL module not found.

This is due to compatibility error in with the MLT library in Oneiric
You can workaround the problem by creating the file
~/.kde/ share/config/ kdenliverc
with the contents
[version]
version=0.8
