Gdk-CRITICAL errors output when updating from command line

Bug Description

Clean oneiric system.
From command linetype: update-manager
Resulted in flood of messages that indicated something is going wrong:

Update worked ok, but seeing all these messages is a bit worrying.
There were no log files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/

I saw this warning when running update-manager in precise:

Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_get_pointer: assertion `GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed

However the same message appears if I run eog or evince in a terminal so it seems like a dekstop issue.

Sorry for the 3 comments above, I was testing the new QA integration code and this bug was unlucky enough to be my random target. Testing is now done and as you can see successful.
