Bug Description

Binary package hint: desktop-effects

We know that compiz is experimental software, and will cause problems for many users. For example, keyboard shortcuts, hardware incompatibilities, etc. Therefore, desktop-effects should warn the user about this before they try to enable it. I suggest the following text in a warning dialog when the menu entry is selected:

"Desktop Effects are an experimental feature in Ubuntu, made available to you as a technology preview. They do not work correctly on all computers, and may cause a number of unexpected side effects, such as:

- Loss of keyboard shortcuts
- <add other problems here>

Please be aware of these potential problems before continuing.
