Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
In order to perform a commandline based upgrade on a server we need a backport of the update-manager-core package.
I uploaded a backport of this into edgy-proposed now hoping that we can get feedback from server people for edgy for this feature.

Ugh, that's not quite the classical SRU, that's an entirely NEW package. I don't see this package in edgy-proposed either, did you forget to actually upload it?
Since we do not usually add new packages to stable releases, I'd like to have this discussed at the meeting or signede off by Matt. Other than that I'm not too worried about a new package, unless it has any Conflicts: /Replaces:
