Bug Description

This happens in Unity-2d.
To reproduce open an application, click on the dash, close it and try to find window control and menu bar on the panel. You'll have to click inside the window to re-focus it. It happens for maximized and unmaximized windows.
Ubuntu 12.04

Unpleased to see that this bug hasn't been considerated to be fixed for 12.04, because it's really bad in term of usability. Obviously I understand that are plenty of other bugs with higher priority!

I can't reproduce here, can you please post exact steps or what are you doing? (Including the configuration of your launcher)

Open Chromium (for example) and maximize it.
Click on the Dash button.
Close it from the red X button.
Now there are no window controls or menu on the panel.
I don't know how to share the configuration of the launcher.
Thank you!
