Bug Description

I have installed kubuntu flight-6 with an internet connection available during installation.

Installation doesn't install these packages:
language-pack-kde-it
kde-i18n-it
language-support-it

I attach part of /var/log/installer/syslog file that talk about these packages.

also can be added: k3b-i18n and language package for openoffice in default non-english installation

I have installed kubuntu 6.10 from the dvd BUT with the text installer and italian language was installed fine.

Can we assume that is fixed also for graphical installation?

P.S.= Luca probably you used the cd that do not contains the italian... possible?

Colin I think if internet is present at installation time then italian is installed, but when it isn't, also if you have dvd (all languages) then italian isn't installed.

Can you check with an offline installation in italian with latest ubiquity? I have no empty partitions to check sorry

thanx
Marco

Colin I've tried kubuntu gutsy dvd iso, snaphot 20070925.1 and the bug is still here!!!

I've tried this from my VirtualBox:
1) installing Italian language from live without network, result: ubiquity freeze (100% cpu eater) @ 87% during language installation
2) installing Spanish language from live without network, result: installation complete but no spanish installation (tried to fetch from internet instead dvd or at least after failure from internet because no connection)
3) retryed 1) and same result, so Italian language seems not installable without internet!

Here are three snapshot of the /var/log/installer/debug file, no real file because my virtual machine was isolated during installation (no network, no internet, no possibilities to copy the file somewhere).
