NUnit is a unit-testing framework for all .Net languages, running on Microsoft .NET and Mono. Initially ported from JUnit, it is written entirely in C# and has been completely redesigned to take advantage of many .NET language features, like custom attributes, generics and lambda expressions.

With version 3.0, NUnit is being split into several loosely coupled projects. The framework is the lowest-level layer of NUnit and is being developed by this project.
