This project provides a CMake build environment for the OpenSSL project. This project also provides binary releases for some platforms along with source code archives.

The OpenSSL Project is a collaborative effort to develop a robust, commercial-grade, full-featured, and Open Source toolkit implementing the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL v2/v3) and Transport Layer Security (TLS v1) protocols as well as a full-strength general purpose cryptography library.

The project is managed by a worldwide community of volunteers that use the Internet to communicate, plan, and develop the OpenSSL toolkit and its related documentation.

See http://www.openssl.org for further details about the OpenSSL Project and http://www.valvers.com/open-software/projects/openssl-cmake for more information about the OpenSSL-CMake project.

This project provides a CMake build system which removes the dependency of PERL in the build system which is particularly useful when building OpenSSL on Windows.

Windows binaries are built with the mingw-w64 SJLJ compiler (Current V4.8.1)
