Comment 6 for bug 511632

Hi ,

Yes I can install other packages from the Software Center and
via Synaptic .Sometimes the download is quite slow , but most
of the time there is no problem at all .

I should have said earlier that I am using Ubuntu 9.10 , with a
mobile broadband connection .

I am also an absolute beginner with Ubuntu , having just switched
from Windows a few days ago . I was sick-and-tired of the security
issues with Windows . So I am trying to install all the programs
that I generally use .

Thank you for responding, it will help our team to determine how to
approach your bug. Unfortunately, I am unsure whether the issue is being
caused by the server that the Software Center and Synaptic are trying to
download from, or if it is a problem with the Software Center program
itself. Could you please confirm for me whether the Software Center is
able to successfully install other packages?
