The GNU Revision Control System is a set of programs that manages multiple revisions of a file (or set of files, with some scripting). It is the forebear of, and shares the masterfile format (also known as the comma-v format) with, CVS. The programs are: * ci * co * ident * merge * rcs * rcsclean * rcsdiff * rcsmerge * rlog. The distribution also includes the program rcsfreeze, which is not normally installed, and manpages for all programs. This project is part of the GNU Project.
