I am currently studying computer engineering with a focus on robotics and control systems at Lake Superior State University. I love computers and technology in general and also Japan where I've recently earned a Japanese minor. This was my second year living in Japan.

I've been interested in Linux for many years with my first taste during my freshman year of high school with Mandrake. I've been programming on and off as a hobby starting when I was in primary school with a toy VTech laptop and it's very simple BASIC interpreter.

I started using Ubuntu Linux at the suggestion of a friend with 6.04 and made Ubuntu my main OS of choice in Nov 2006 without looking back once. Feb 2007 I finally removed M$ windows from my personal computer entirely. I also have a love affair with Gentoo when Ubuntu isn't watching.
