jockey-gtk crashed with AssertionError in __init__()

I just had the same issue but with the nvidia module on Hardy Alpha4 candidate (20080201.1).

I can also confirm this on Hardy Alpha4 candidate (20080201.1) (amd64 Desktop)

I have also this bug when session is launched on hardy alpha 4.
I use an ati mobility X700 on aspire 5024 WLMi.

Confirmed. Intel-386 generic. Install CD validated prior to install attempt.

Wot in 'ell is gtk-jockey, anyway?

Does anyone know of a workaround? I am having the same issues.

gtk-jockey is the restricted-manager replacement in hardy. i also experience that bug.

Occurs when immediately after logging in and of course when clicking on System>System Admin.>Driver Setup...
(I guess) As a result, compiz doesn't work... :-(

Confirmed the bug (ShuttlePC, Intel Processor, ATI Graphics, R300 hardware)

Occured right after booting from the CD (Hardy Heron 8.04 Alpha) even before any user input.
Repeated this step 3 times with the same result.

Confirmed on Dell Latitude D610, ATI X300 Graphics. Occurs before any user input.

I am seeing this bug on a Dell with nVidia go5200 graphics. It happens with the Live CD on startup before any user input.

Brand new current Hardy 20080203 on Compaq Presario 3.3 gHz got this error on CD Live.

I confirm this bug.

Same bug on Sony VAIO SZ650N with nVidia 8400M GS display adapter, Hardy alpha 4 live CD

Fixed in upstream bzr head.

Keyboard ampersand key then not recognised, preventing account login.
USB key with text file of email address, containing the ampersand was displayed and Ctrl_C/Ctrl_V cut and paste used to enter the address and login actually achieved for this report.

Please Note that Alpha-4 has been the first Alpha to pass the CD integrity check OK !

Same problem with a acer aspire 5002wlmi with a SiSM760GX graphics processor. This seems to have no effect on my computer as it still runs with 1280x800 resolution.

Just figured it would be good to know all the different types of GOU's that jockey is having problems with.
