I would love to see the newer MythTV packages in Dapper Backports. Thank you for all of the hard work!

this needs to be tested on dapper from a MOTU before the backport can be approved --> needs info

I can confirm that the Edgy mythtv 0.20 package works on Dapper. However, in order to build, a couple of new dependencies are added (libiec61883-0 and libraw1394-8)

If you want to try it out, I've got backports on my personal repository - "deb http://apebox.org/badgerexplosion ./" - note that there are no plugins available yet, as they haven't arrived in edgy (that said, the plugins package from debian-multimedia also builds fine against my mythtv backport)

superm1 has been nagging me for weeks about this one. Finally had a chance to look it over, and it seems good. It needs two supporting libraries backported, which we have determined is safe/sane.

So, without further delay, mythtv, libraw1394, and libiec61883 are approved for dapper-backports.
