Bug Description

seen in a test rebuild from 20100628:
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/51134457/buildlog_ubuntu-maverick-amd64.gtk%2B2.0_2.21.2-0ubuntu3_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz

Function `g_completion_new' implicitly converted to pointer at /build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.21.2/gtk/gtkcombo.c:222

Function `g_completion_new' implicitly converted to pointer at /build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.21.2/gtk/gtkcombo.c:222

Our automated build log filter detected the problem(s) above that will
likely cause your package to segfault on architectures where the size of
a pointer is greater than the size of an integer, such as ia64 and amd64.

This is often due to a missing function prototype definition.

Since use of implicitly converted pointers is always fatal to the application
on ia64, they are errors. Please correct them for your next upload.

This bug was fixed in the package devhelp - 2.30.1-1ubuntu1

---------------
devhelp (2.30.1-1ubuntu1) maverick; urgency=low

  * 00git-reenable-glib-deprecated.patch: Do not disable deprecated glib
    symbols. This brings back the g_completion_* declarations. Cherrypicked
    from upstpream trunk. (LP: #600189)

devhelp (2.30.1-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream stable release.
  * debian/rules
    - The gnome.mk cdbs class file already includes autotools.mk, so there is
      no need to include it a second time ourselves.
  * debian/control.in
    - Add Vcs-* fields.
    - Drop Build-Depends on dpkg-dev (>= 1.13.19) as even oldstable has a
      more recent version.
    - Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.0. No further changes.
    - Bump Build-Depends on libglib2.0-dev to (>= 2.10.0).
