To better explain, instead run the ubiquity-dm it jump into live session, but pratically unusable with the graphic really garbled and the windows freezing disappearing and so on.

looks like a dependency issue in ubiquity-frontend-gtk, it currently depends on x-window-manager which compiz provides already...
but indeed compiz cant run on non GL capable hardware so we need either a hard dep on metacity here or even a new definition for a x-window-manager-gl property so packages can define a GL and non GL capable WM

non GL hardware = hardware not capable of doing 3D operations out of the box on an ubuntu image (i.e. without installing a third party driver like fglrx, nvidia or one of the arm GLES drivers)

This bug was fixed in the package ubiquity - 2.11.23

---------------
ubiquity (2.11.23) quantal; urgency=low

  [ Luke Yelavich ]
  * Show the accessibility indicator in only-ubiquity as well.
  * Tweak the error message displayed when the accessibility indicator
cannot be shown, to satisfy PEP tests.

  [ Colin Watson ]
  * Make ubiquity-frontend-gtk depend on the specific window managers
    supported by ubiquity-dm (LP: #1037515).
  * Automatic update of included source packages: flash-kernel
    3.0~rc.4ubuntu22, partman-auto-lvm 45ubuntu1, yaboot-installer
    1.1.22ubuntu1.
