Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
After buying a new LCD and plugging it into my laptop's VGA port, I found that closing the lid would cause the machine to lock up. Per Bryce's instructions on IRC, I tried enabling the ForceEnablePipeA option in my xorg.conf, which fixed the problem.
$ lspci -vvnn | grep -A1 "VGA compat"
