can we get a backport of a newer alsa for edgy? ..the newer alsa also fixes audio for many laptops in the dvNNNN series.

I have an 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02) in a HP Pavillion DV6245 and am having similar issues with jack sense. When I first play sound it come out of the speakers. After inserting my headphones it comes out both the speaker and the headphones. Then after removing my headphones it comes out nowhere. However, if I reinsert my headphones the sound comes out of the speakers.

Earlier it says to use alsa-driver 1.0.14rc1 however this is not available in Feisty Fawn. Has this patch made it into the driver in Feisty or will 1.0.14 be out before Feisty final? Thanks in advance.
