Tomdroid 0.7.1 beta "Fast paced" released!

Second in this new series of betas 0.7.1 "Fast paced" is just out. A ton of fixes and improvements since last week's 0.7.0. Stefan and Noah are driving this car at full speed!

It is *not* intended to be an android market release yet as we would like to get feedback and testing done in our local community first.

Tomdroid is a Tomboy compatible wikiwiki note-taking application for Android.

* Actionbar for all versions of Android
* Converted format bar to sliding drawer
* Added progress bar and toast notifications to preferences
* Cosmetic improvements and bug fixes with conflict resolution
* Added cancel button to sync
* Fixed revert all for deleted notes
* Added routine to avoid full sync if server revision is old (only push changed notes)
* Set note content entry type to "sentence caps"

Hi everyone,

Starting out this new series of betas with 0.7.0 "House of Fun" release. Don't be distracted by the small bump in numbers, this is a massive release with lots of good stuff: note editing, two-way sync, tablet support, rich editing and more!

Noah is the man behind all that good work so cheers to him!

Tomdroid 0.7 beta - "House of Fun" - Editing and Two-Way Sync!

Editing Features:
* Rich text editor for editing and formatting notes (credit: http://code.google.com/p/android-richtexteditor/)
* Ability to create new notes
* Ability to delete local notes
* Automatic renaming of notes on duplicate title (as Note 1, Note 2, etc.)
* Note saved automatically on pause
* Ability to revert changes

Sync Features:
* Two-way sync by default, one-way "pull" sync via "Revert" button
* Note conflict resolution screen when notes are of different date and both older or newer than last sync date
* Automatic authentication - if you use Ubuntu One, pressing "Sync" on first launch is enough to authenticate and sync
* updating progress bar with information on current task, number of notes
* switching sync services/servers doesn't clear notes database anymore
* switching sync servers clears authentication, doesn't authenticate (see "Automatic authentication", above)

UI Tweaks:
* moved Tomdroid toolbar into native ActionBar (https://blueprints.launchpad.net/tomdroid/+spec/actionbar-redesign)
* added basic tablet integration (https://blueprints.launchpad.net/tomdroid/+spec/tablet-ui)

Preference Tweaks
* Added preference for changing base font size
* Added preference button for backing up notes to SD card (when using online sync)
* Added preference button for removing all notes from remote service
* added option to hide/show note templates
* added option to clear local notes database (useful if switching sync services)

Misc:
* fixed SQL query should use "?" (lp:880322)

Tomdroid 0.6 "Small World" released!

I have the pleasure to announce Tomdroid's 0.6.0 "Small World" release!

A quickly-made release of the stable code before integrating major new work regarding note editing, two way sync and
tablet support. This here contains mostly fixes and more than 25 new translations!

Tomdroid 0.5.0 released!

I have the pleasure to announce Tomdroid's 0.5.0 release!

This [again] long overdue release is the culmination of several interesting things including (but not limited to): searching for notes, sending notes, an updated high-resolution icon and several parsing fixes and overall polish.

It is *not* intended to be an android market release yet as we would like to get feedback from people who reported note parsing errors and we would like to see some testing done in our little community first.

Tomdroid 0.4.1 released!

Some important problems with the handling of note identifiers showed up pretty quickly with Tomdroid 0.4.0. This is a bugfix release to address this issue.

Version 0.4.1 - "I didn't do it!" (fixed with duct tape) released on 2010-10-15
* Fixed sync issues related to note identifiers (Stuart Langridge, lp:657477)
* Error messages available in logs even in released builds (lp:657561)
* Some strings translated to French (Benoit Soyeux)
